Job Summary Operating Room Open Heart Nurse Location: Not specified. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for patients undergoing open heart and cardiovascular surgeries. The position requires delivering high-quality perioperative services and supporting the surgical team throughout procedures.
Job Details
Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Valid nursing license, experience in cardiovascular operating room settings, and familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record system. Experience in cardiovascular operating rooms (CVOR) for at least 2 years is preferred; otherwise, general OR experience and prior travel experience are acceptable.
Schedule: Days shift, either 8-hour or 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Start times may vary between 0600 and 0650, based on departmental needs.
Responsibilities include assisting with open heart surgery cases, monitoring patient status, and ensuring compliance with operational protocols.
Certifications in cardiovascular or surgical nursing specialties are preferred.
The candidate must complete the required Ascension skills checklist and pass license verification and professional profile checks.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
