Job Summary: The operating room specialty is open heart (OR OH) at a healthcare facility located in Lebanon, New Hampshire. This position involves supporting cardiac procedures with a focus on cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) work. The role requires experience in scrubbing and circulating complex cardiac surgeries, with a structured schedule of day shifts. The assignment is set to start on August 31, 2026, and offers a dynamic environment handling a variety of inpatient and outpatient procedures across high-tech suites.
Job Details:
Schedule: Day shifts, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Certifications in cardiac or operating room specialties, at least 2 years of cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) experience prior to travel, current competencies in scrubbing and circulating procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), mitral valve replacement (MVR), aortic valve replacement (AVR), transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVRs), laser lead extractions, and robotic surgeries. Candidates must be willing and capable of floating to the Operating Room (OR) during periods of low cardiovascular case volume, as the CVOR and OR are within the same cost center.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in handling complex and high-volume cardiac procedures, familiarity with a variety of surgical specialties, and ability to work as part of a two-person call team, with expectations of 1-2 nights per week and 1 weekend per month.
Additional Information: The position involves supporting procedural teams across a broad scope of cardiac surgeries, including high-tech suites that accommodate diverse patient populations from neonates to geriatrics. Inpatient and outpatient procedures cover ENT, general surgery, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, gynecology, ophthalmology, oral surgery, neuro, robotics, vascular, cardiac, and thoracic surgeries. The candidate will contribute to a facility providing state-of-the-art surgical care within a collaborative environment.
