Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Specialty in Open Heart procedures in Fort Wayne, IN. This role involves circulating complex cardiovascular and thoracic cases, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), aortic valve replacement (AVR), mitral valve replacement (MVR), and other advanced cardiac surgeries. The position requires a Skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse to support a fast-paced surgical environment with a focus on complex cardiac cases.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Indiana state license, BLS certification, 1-2 years of recent experience in cardiovascular (CV) surgery and OR specialty.
- Specialty: Operating Room (OR) - Open Heart
- Position Type: Full-time, Contract (13 weeks duration)
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Number of Beds in Unit: 4
- Scrubs: Provided by hospital
- EMR System: Cerner
- Shift Hours: 06:30 am to 05:00 pm, with call requirements every 5th weekday and weekend. No block schedule option.
- Additional Role Scope: Ability to circulate complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases, including robotic thoracotomies and ECMO cases. Past experience with the listed skills is required.
- Travelers Submission Requirements: Must attach valid license and certifications, include driver's license, and permanent home address matching ID. Travelers must be over 50 miles from the facility. Local candidates are not accepted.
