Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac & General Surgery

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position, working a Day shift consisting of 3x12-hour shifts from 06:45 AM to 07:15 PM, with on-call requirements.

Job Description

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for circulating and scrubbing duties in a high-volume surgical environment. The role requires proficiency in cardiac and general surgeries, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and surgical support.

Responsibilities

• Assist in a variety of surgical procedures including cardiac, vascular, orthopedic, general, ENT, urology, robotics, and gynecology.
• Manage patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Maintain sterile environment and proper equipment handling during surgeries.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure best practices and patient safety.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency situations as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in surgical specialty.
• Current WV or Compact RN License (pending licenses will be accepted).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience in cardiac and general surgery cases is mandatory.
• Proficient in vascular surgery techniques including vein and artery harvesting.
