CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a cardiovascular operating room environment and be capable of handling a variety of surgical cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with open heart surgeries, including TAVR and endovascular procedures.
• Scrub in on cases, holding the heart and assisting with closing the chest.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and support staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities as assigned, including one weekday and one weekend per month.
• Float to general operating room as needed based on case volume.

Qualifications

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are preferred.
• Experience with open heart surgery and/or endovascular procedures is required.
• Ability to scrub in and perform nursing duties during surgical procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment

The operating room will have an average of 30 cases per day, with 1-2 heart surgeries scheduled daily. Additional responsibilities may include floating to general OR if there are no CVOR cases.

Schedule

Shift hours are generally from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility as needed. Team members are encouraged to facilitate cooperative scheduling.

Cancellation Policy

The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment, and 3 shifts for assignments shorter than 13 weeks.
