Cardio Vascular Operating Room Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Three 12-hour day shifts (0645-1915) with one to two additional call shifts during the week and one full weekend of call every 5 weeks. Flexibility with scheduling is required to meet unit and patient care needs.

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Cardio Vascular Operating Room Registered Nurse with substantial experience in cardiovascular and open heart surgical procedures. This role involves assisting with surgical operations, ensuring patient safety and optimal care throughout the surgical process.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients.
• Assist with surgical procedures in the Cardio Vascular Operating Room.
• Maintain high competency levels in cardio vascular and open heart OR practices.
• Float to other OR suites when needed, circulating when required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Cardio Vascular / Open Heart OR.
• BLS certification required; CNOR preferred.
• Experience with Epic EMR within the last 2 years is non-negotiable.
• Large academic teaching hospital experience is necessary.
• Previous travel nursing experience is required.
• Must have general scrubbing experience in OR settings.
