CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab Travel Nursing Contract in Akron, Ohio
CVOR Registered Nurse travel nursing contract in Akron, Ohio for an experienced cardiac cath lab RN skilled in circulating, scrubbing, and monitoring cardiovascular procedures. Travel Nursing Job Details

CVOR Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with a permanent Ohio license or compact license in hand at the time of submission
- At least 1 year of combined permanent experience in the CVOR, cardiac cath lab, or a closely related cardiovascular procedural specialty
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications in hand; pending certifications are not accepted
- Ability to provide one professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty from an assignment completed within the past 12 months
- Requested time off must be disclosed during the application or interview process
- Successful completion of required credentialing, background, license, and health screening processes
- Required background fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
- Completion of required pre-start and annual learning modules, typically requiring approximately 6–15 hours depending on specialty
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and medication-safety assessments during orientation; candidates are allowed a maximum of two attempts for each assessment
- Required COVID-19 and influenza vaccination, subject to applicable medical or religious exemptions
- Travel nurses continuing on assignment for at least one year or returning in a subsequent calendar year may be required to complete an annual hands-on nursing competency
Cardiac Cath Lab RN Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and cardiovascular procedures
- Circulate, scrub, and monitor cardiac cath lab and CVOR procedural cases according to specialty standards and unit protocols
- Prepare patients, equipment, medications, and procedural areas before cardiovascular procedures
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, sedation response, and patient status throughout procedures
- Maintain sterile technique and support patient safety during invasive cardiovascular interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, procedural team members, anesthesia staff, and other disciplines to coordinate patient care
- Document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient responses accurately
- Recognize changes in patient condition and respond promptly using appropriate clinical interventions
- Participate in call coverage and support cardiac cath lab department operations as assigned
