Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Cardiovascular Operating Room – Newark, NJ 07102

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Newark, New Jersey

Schedule: Day shift, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM. On-call expectations include a minimum of one weekend per month (24-hour call) and 1-2 nights per week (8-hour call shifts). 90-day assignment with 12-hour orientation.

Highlights:

• Specialize in cardiac open heart surgery within a busy cardiovascular operating room
• Work with a diverse surgical case mix including general, vascular, and advanced cardiac procedures
• Circulate on complex heart cases including coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG), mitral valve replacement (MVR), and aortic valve replacement (AVR)
• Collaborate with experienced cardiovascular surgical teams in a well-established medical center
• Competitive travel nursing compensation with overtime, call-back, and holiday pay available

Requirements:

• Current RN license in New Jersey or compact state license
• CVOR certification required
• Minimum two years of cardiovascular operating room experience
• Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records system
• Demonstrated experience in general OR and cardiac open heart cases
• Strong circulating skills for coronary bypass graft surgery, heart valve procedures (MVR, AVR), and related cardiovascular surgeries
