Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 4x10-hour schedule, from 06:30 to 17:00, Monday through Friday. Call required, with an average of 10 days per month, including one weekend per month.

Job Description

Join our team as a Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse, where you will provide comprehensive care in a dynamic surgical environment. This role involves working with a diverse patient population, focusing on adult and geriatric care, and participating in various cardiovascular procedures. Your expertise will be vital in assisting with surgeries such as CABG, valve repairs, and other complex operations.

Responsibilities

• Circulate surgeries in the cardiovascular operating room.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Manage intraoperative patient care and assist in various surgical procedures.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EPIC) for documentation.
• Participate in pre-operative assessments and post-operative care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR).
• Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
• Preferred certifications: CNOR and scrub experience.
• North Carolina or Compact nursing license preferred; must be in good standing.
