CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) travel nursing contract in Center City Philadelphia for an experienced cardiovascular operating room nurse skilled in scrubbing and circulating complex cardiac procedures. This on-site travel nursing opportunity is ideal for a perioperative RN seeking a 13-week contract in a dynamic surgical environment. Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,580–$2,720
- Location: Center City Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19107
- Start Date: November 30, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks, ending March 1, 2027
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, approximately 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
- Orientation: The first week may include five 8-hour weekday shifts; additional orientation will be scheduled as needed
- Call: Required call coverage, including weekend call, as scheduled
- Holiday Requirement: No holiday requirement indicated

CVOR Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- At least 3 years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience in a cardiovascular operating room or CVOR setting
- Active Pennsylvania or compact nursing license required at the time of submission
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Demonstrated ability to both scrub and circulate cardiac surgical procedures
- Required experience with CABG, aortic and mitral valve repairs or replacements, heart transplant procedures, dissections, and LVADs
- Required vascular surgery experience, including EVAR, TEVAR, TCAR, or open abdominal aortic aneurysm repair
- Thoracic surgery experience, including thoracotomy or VATS, is preferred
- Ability to support additional operating room services, such as general, urology, or ENT surgery, when cardiac volume fluctuates
- First-time travel nurses are welcome when they possess the required clinical experience
- Ability to meet all required clinical, licensing, screening, and onboarding requirements before the start date
CVOR Nursing Responsibilities
- Scrub and circulate cardiovascular, cardiothoracic, and other perioperative surgical procedures
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, supplies, and specialized equipment for scheduled cases
- Provide safe, precise perioperative nursing care throughout the surgical experience
- Support complex procedures such as CABG, valve repair and replacement, heart transplantation, dissections, and LVAD procedures
- Participate in vascular and thoracic procedures, including EVAR, TEVAR, TCAR, open AAA repair, and related cases
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary surgical team
- Float to other operating room services when cardiovascular case volume is reduced, based on clinical competency
- Participate in scheduled call coverage and respond promptly to urgent surgical needs
