Experienced CVOR Registered Nurses can bring cardiac operating room expertise to this high-acuity travel nursing job in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We are seeking a skilled CVOR RN who can confidently scrub and circulate complex cardiac cases while collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, and the perioperative team. This on-site travel opportunity supports adult and geriatric patients across cardiovascular, vascular, thoracic, and other operating room services.

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,580–$2,720

• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract

CVOR Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania RN license or compact RN license at the time of submission
• At least 3 years of operating room nursing experience
• Recent CVOR experience with the ability to scrub and circulate cardiac surgery procedures
• BLS certification
• Demonstrated experience with CABG procedures, aortic and mitral valve repairs or replacements, heart transplants, dissections, and LVAD procedures
• Experience with vascular procedures such as EVAR, TEVAR, TCAR, and open AAA repair
• Thoracic surgery experience, including VATS and thoracotomy, preferred
• Ability to float to other operating room services, such as general surgery, urology, or ENT, when cardiac volume fluctuates
• Current influenza vaccination or an approved medical or religious exemption
• Willingness to complete required clinical, licensing, background, fingerprinting, laboratory, and compliance requirements
• First-time travelers are welcome with appropriate CVOR experience

CVOR RN Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate complex cardiovascular operating room procedures
• Support CABG, valve repair and replacement, heart transplant, dissection, and ventricular assist device procedures
• Participate in vascular and thoracic cases, including EVAR, TEVAR, TCAR, open AAA repair, VATS, and thoracotomy procedures
• Prepare the operating room, equipment, supplies, and sterile field for scheduled and emergent procedures
• Maintain patient safety throughout the perioperative experience in accordance with clinical standards
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia teams, surgical technologists, and other perioperative professionals
• Provide accurate clinical documentation in Epic
• Participate in scheduled on-call coverage
• Float to other operating room specialties when needed based on department volume and demonstrated competency
