Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Surgical Technologist specializing in Open Heart procedures in PALO ALTO, California. This role involves supporting the surgical team through preparation, sterilization, and instrumentation during complex cardiac surgeries. The position requires a qualified professional capable of maintaining sterile technique and collaborating effectively within a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Completion of a formal, structured program for Surgical Technology; at least 3 years of experience; valid BLS certification; Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience specifically with Cardiac Surgery, Open Heart, Thoracic Vascular procedures; CVOR experience required.
• Additional Information: Call is required for this role. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology, with the ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team. Flexibility to work weekends and rotating shifts is essential.
