DAY-SHIFT CVOR SURGICAL TECH CONTRACT – SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel contract opening for an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Technologist in San Bernardino, California. Operating within a high-acuity surgical services unit, this position offers a structured 4x10 daytime schedule (06:30 AM - 17:00 PM, Thursday off). If you are a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) capable of single-scrubbing cardiac cases while maintaining flexibility to cover Main OR surgical specialties, this contract is built for you!

PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

• Weekly Gross: $1,850.00
• Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $750.00
• Hourly W2 Rate: $25.00/hr (32 regular hours)
• Daily Overtime Rate: $37.50/hr (8 daily OT hours included under California labor guidelines)

SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

• Schedule: Day shifts, 4x10-Hours (06:30 AM - 17:00 PM / 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with Thursdays off). Block scheduling configurations are not available.
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular/OT hours guaranteed weekly.
• Weekend & Floating Requirements: Every other weekend (EOW) coverage expectation; designated as first to float when needed.
• On-Call Requirements: Standby call is required. Standby call rate applies at $7.00/hr ($68.00/hr call-back rate).
• Clinical Scope & Case Mix: Primary focus on open heart/cardiac surgical procedures. Must be proficient in single-scrubbing cardiac cases. On days with lower cardiac volume, technologist will scrub across Main OR service lines including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Robotics, Urology, General Surgery, and Gynecology (GYN).
• EMR Charting System: Cerner EMR.

REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical Surgical Tech experience with proven CVOR/cardiac single-scrub capability.
• Certifications Required:
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential issued via NBSTSA.
  • Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
