Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU RN with 2+ years of CVPICU/PICU experience and an active OH or Compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Pediatric ICU (CVPICU) of a pediatric hospital
• Care for pediatric patients with congenital heart disease and post cardiac surgery/catheterization needs
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30
• 13-week assignment length
• Floating required to NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and Med-Surg units as needed

Requirements

• Active OH State or Compact RN license required, must be in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of CVPICU or PICU experience required in a pediatric hospital setting
• 2 supervisory references required at time of consideration, with at least one from a manager/supervisor titled reference
• Skilled in respiratory care including ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and airway care
• Skilled in cardiovascular care including hemodynamic monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Experience with IV therapy, arterial and central line management preferred
• Experience with ECMO, VAD (LVAD/RVAD), and CRRT preferred
• Experience with congenital heart disease/repair and post cardiac surgery care preferred

Additional Information

• Provide specialized critical care nursing to pediatric cardiovascular patients
• Floating to other units is a requirement and a point of emphasis for this facility
• Candidates must not have worked in a permanent role at this facility within the last 2 years
• Local candidates are not permitted for this position due to a 60-mile radius requirement
• RTO must be submitted for consideration
