Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) position requiring an NC or Compact license and PALS certification.

Details

• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating required
• Epic charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required to be in hand
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Skills in ventilator management, ECMO, CRRT, and hemodynamic monitoring preferred
• Experience with congenital heart disease/repair and post cardiac surgery care preferred
• 1 supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required between 10/31-3/31 with no exemptions

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients in the CVPICU, including those with congenital heart disease and post cardiac surgery needs
• Skills utilized may include respiratory support, cardiovascular monitoring, renal replacement therapy, and neurologic care
• Bi-weekly orientation schedule
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at a reduced rate
• RTO must be limited to 5-7 days maximum
• Candidates with prior permanent employment at this health system must not have been employed there within the past 6 months and must disclose this employment history
• Up to three absences allowed per 13-week contract; excessive tardiness or no call/no show may result in contract review
