Job Title: Cytotechnologist Profession: Laboratory Specialty: Cytotechnology Duration: 14 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 year; first-time travelers not accepted License: State or Compact license required Certifications: Certification as a cytotechnologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or the International Association of Cytotechnologists (IAC) Must-Have: Strong analytical skills Description: The position requires performing analytical procedures that necessitate a professional level of knowledge to execute. Candidates will interpret and analyze results, especially those that are abnormal or atypical. The patient population includes neonates to geriatrics. A teal scrub color is required. Canditates must be compliant with all onboarding requirements to start on time. If ultimate compliance is not achieved, there will be a two-week delay due to the orientation schedule. Travelers are expected to work major holidays as per the outlined guidelines. Candidates should be prepared to float within the facility as necessary, though this will be rare. COVID-19 vaccination is not required; however, the flu vaccine is mandatory unless there is a valid medical or religious exemption. Full compliance prior to starting is essential. Recommendations for clinical fit will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. The traveler is expected to fulfill all work obligations, including weekends, as specified.
