Key Responsibilities
- Screen and interpret cytology slides, with the capacity to review 50–60 slides per day (up to 300 slides per week)
- Operate and utilize BD FocalPoint and BD SurePath equipment as part of daily laboratory workflow
- Document findings accurately within the EMR system in accordance with laboratory and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with laboratory team members to ensure timely and accurate cytological diagnoses
- Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols, quality assurance standards, and compliance requirements
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Cytotechnology program
- ASCP (CT) certification or equivalent Cytotechnology certificate
- Minimum of 12 months of hands-on Cytotechnology experience
- Proficiency with BD FocalPoint equipment
- Proficiency with BD SurePath equipment
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
- Experience with Sunquest laboratory information system
- Professional reference from a charge, supervisor, or director-level contact within the past 24 months
