Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (5x8 Hours, shift options between 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform GYN image-guided ThinPrep screening and NON-GYN screening including ThinPrep, smear, and cytospin preparations
• Handle onsite FNA (Fine Needle Aspiration) rapid on-site evaluation (ROSE) procedures in coordination with physician-collected specimensli>Prepare and screen specimens including ascitic fluid, esophageal, gastric, spinal, and bronchial samples
• Make smears, perform staining, and provide preliminary diagnoses on cytological specimens
• Assist with on-site procedures, including proper specimen labeling and identification
• Perform PAP smear screening and collaborate with existing cytology staff to maintain balanced workflow

Required Qualifications

• ASCP-CT certification required
• Louisiana State Cytotechnologist license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cytotechnology
• Proficiency in ThinPrep, smear preparation, cytospin, staining, and preliminary diagnosis
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as indicated on driver's license) — local travelers are not accepted
• Current AHA certifications required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working alongside seasoned cytology staff in a high-volume laboratory environment
• Familiarity with a broad range of specimen types including FNA, GYN, and NON-GYN preparations
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
