Travel assignment in a hospital setting.Key Highlights- Weekly pay: $2,350–$2,527 per week- Guaranteed hours: 0.0- Contract duration: 13 weeks- Shift: 5x8 days- Start date: 08/27/2026- Work setting: travel assignment in a hospital environmentResponsibilities- Screen gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens to detect cancer or other pathological conditions; mark abnormalities; render diagnoses; determine cases for quality control or review with a pathologist.- Perform quality control and quality assurance procedures to maintain compliance with internal and external regulations and protocols.- Conduct rapid on-site evaluation (ROSE) using tele-pathology for the collection, processing, and immediate evaluation of Fine Needle Aspirations.- Prepare slides, document results in the laboratory information system, and maintain accurate case records.- Collaborate with the cytology and pathology team to ensure accuracy, turnaround times, and appropriate case prioritization.- Maintain equipment and adhere to safety, infection control, and workflow standards.Requirements- Active New York State license to practice Cytotechnologist- ASCP certification required- Minimum 5 years Cytotechnologist experience- Experience with EBUS, EUS, and thyroid FNA procedures- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records- Ability to work in a hospital travel assignment environmentBenefits and Support- 24/7 recruiter and travel support- Credentialing and onboarding assistance- Weekly pay with direct deposit- Assignment-specific support and resourcesFind more opportunitiesIf you’d like to explore additional openings at Healthforce Healthcare LLC, please apply and also consider our other available opportunities at https://healthforce.applytojob.com/applyPAY DISCLAIMERPlease note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
