Job Title: Dental Assistant Profession: Dentistry Specialty: Dental Assistant Duration: 9 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (09:00 - 17:30) Experience: Minimum one year as a Chairside Dental Assistant required License: NY license required Certifications: BLS, RDA, High School Diploma or GED, Completion of a Certified Dental Assisting Program preferred Must-Have: Completion of a Certified Dental Assisting Program preferred. EPIC experience required. Description: Shift is from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, including a 60-minute break. The position is a 9-week assignment covering a leave of absence. A high school diploma or GED is required. A minimum of one year experience as a Chairside Dental Assistant is required. Certification in Basic Life Support and Registered Dental Assistant is required. Completion of a Certified Dental Assisting Program is preferred. Experience with EPIC charting system is preferred. Candidates must have knowledge in infection prevention and maintaining sterile equipment. The role may involve assisting in various procedures including endodontics and extraction. Candidates should possess skills in obtaining vital signs, preparing instruments for procedures, and stocking supplies. Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus. Individuals must comply with requirements for COVID-19 vaccinations. Medical exemptions allowed for the COVID-19 vaccine. Flu vaccine is required with allowances for medical or religious exemptions. Interviews will be conducted via video conferencing. The camera must be on during the interview.
