Travel Dental Assistant - $1,367 per week in New York City, NY

Job Title: Dental Assistant Profession: Dental Assistant Specialty: Contract Duration: 9 months Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM Experience: Minimum 1 year as a Dental Assistant License: BLS required Certifications: HS Diploma and completion of accredited Dental Assistant Program Must-Have: - Adjusting dental equipment - Sterile draping - Assisting dentist - Patient seating - Adjusting dental chair Description: Assists dentist during examination and treatment of patients. Seats patients and adjusts chair and equipment. Drapes patients with sterile and other appropriate coverings. Lays out dental instruments and supplies. Hands instruments to dentist during examination and treatment as instructed or required. Retracts patient's mouth. Operates suction equipment to maintain mouth free of secretions and sponges mouth at intervals. Administers mouthwash. Assists in tooth extraction or other surgical interventions in the oral cavity. Sterilizes and cleans linens and instruments; prepares for use. Maintains records of dental examinations, conditions found, treatments, and appointments. Assists dentist in examination and treatment of patients as outlined. May assist in taking and developing dental X-rays. Mixes amalgam and other filling materials as requested by dentist. Moderate physical activity is required, including occasional to prolonged standing, lifting, bending, filing, and typing.
