Job Title: Registered Dietitian Profession: Dietitian Specialty: Women's Health Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Hours per Shift: 7 Experience: Minimum one (1) year of experience required; two (2) years of experience preferred License: Client Certification as a Dietitian-Nutritionist for post-acute care; Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration as a Registered Dietitian for acute care Certifications: AHA BLS preferred Must-Have: MENU MODIFICATION PATIENT ASSESSMENT NUTRITION CARE NUTRITION EDUCATION DIET MODIFICATION Description: Monitors patients for and provides education on food/drug interactions. Records food and drug interactions in the education section. Consults with physicians regarding appropriate diet modifications. Screens and assesses patients accurately and promptly based on levels of care. Determines patients' nutritional needs and status and provides follow-up care. Interviews patients and/or their families to obtain a history of food habits and preferences. Interprets pertinent laboratory, physical, and social data in the medical record as it applies to nutrition care. Provides nutrition education and records the patient's diet and understanding of diet instructions in the education section. Modifies patient menus as needed.
