Key Responsibilities
- Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to adult patients across acute care and progressive care floors within a high-acuity, non-ICU setting at a Level I Trauma Center
- Manage nutrition support including enteral nutrition (EN) and parenteral nutrition (PN), with responsibility for both macronutrient and micronutrient management in custom formulas
- Deliver diet education to patients across a variety of disease states
- Participate in plan-of-care rounds as an active member of the interdisciplinary care team
- Manage a daily caseload of approximately 6–10 patients per day
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in ICU and nutrition support, including custom parenteral nutrition (PN) with management of macros and micros
- Active or pending state licensure as a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) accepted at time of submission
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record system preferred
- Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (non-local travelers only); non-local driver's license required on file
- Must be available to complete compliance documentation within 1–2 weeks of contract signing and drug screening within 30 days of start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel dietitian experience in an acute care or trauma center environment
- Experience working within a teaching hospital or children's hospital setting
- Familiarity with interdisciplinary rounding in high-acuity clinical environments
