Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | Days | Full-Time | 5x8-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) | 13-Week Assignment | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments across multiple patient care areas within a large acute care facility
- Educate patients regarding their prescribed diets and nutritional needs
- Document patient tolerances, appropriateness of nutritional support, and patient responses to interventions
- Make evidence-based recommendations for nutritional support plans
- Float to multiple units and areas as needed to provide coverage
- Collaborate with the clinical team, including a clinical supervisor and fellow dietitians, to deliver quality patient care
Required Qualifications- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential — must be licensed in the State of Texas
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical dietitian experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to educate patients regarding dietary needs and nutritional plans
- Proficiency with computer-based documentation and electronic medical records (EMR)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in a high-volume acute care or hospital setting
- Outgoing, positive personality with strong interpersonal communication skills
- Flexibility and willingness to assist with weekend coverage when available
