Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical dietitian services within a mental health and recovery center setting
- Conduct nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients
- Monitor and evaluate patient nutritional status and adjust care plans as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient health and recovery goals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient nutritional care
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) if registered before 12/31/2023, OR Master's degree with CDR if registered after 12/31/2023
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- ANSI-approved Food Handlers certificate (required for RDs in inpatient settings; must be obtained within 30 days of start)
- Specialty experience within the last year in a relevant clinical setting
- Valid Virginia license in hand at time of submittal or proof of compact license
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) credential
- Certified Nutrition Support Dietitian (CNSD) credential
- Experience working in a mental health or behavioral health environment
