Unit Information:
Beds: 2 Echo Suites, 2 TEE rooms. Will also go to bedside for inpatients
Census? Average patients/day? 40-60 per day through department
Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years of acute care Echo experience
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
Peds, adults, inpatient, outpatient. Will support large structural program
CHF, pre/post Cath, pre/post CABG, pre/post Watchman, pre/post TAVR, PFOs, bubble studies, aortic stenosis, mitral regurgitation, stroke patients, ER patients, TEEs, stress tests
Required License, National Certification, Certs:
BLS, ARDMS-RDS or RDCS
Skills required:
Experience with above patient types, assisting with pericardiocentesis and other procedures, measuring accurate EFs
Hard stop: Must be comfortable doing Peds scan
Will do preliminary findings. Will put their findings in a modifiable report and the physician will review the report and confirm, change, or add any details.
Fetal scan experience and stress test experience preferred. Send for manager approval if missing this experience
Would prefer if candidate is comfortable orienting new hires

It is not often to get called back as cardiologist has to approve call back
1 night call shift per week. EOS until 0700 the following morning. Most likely a week day, but could be a weekend
30-minute response
Holiday Expectations: Call only on major holidays. Eve of holidays, department is open. Could be on call for 50% of holidays per contract
Approval of RTO: Can approve up to 7 days off
Shift times: 10h Days, 0800-1830
Schedule cycle: Modified self-schedule. Can put in requested days but manager has final approval. Schedule made in 6-week increments
