Cardiac Sonographer
 Shift: 8hr Evening Shift - 40Shift Information: 12:30P-9P, Monday through Friday

Teaching Hospital: Yes, Academic Medical Center
Chest Pain Center
Stroke Center
Satellite: Davie IP/OP Care Hospital and Country Club clinic
Department Information:
Census? Average patients/day?
TTE, comprehensive studies: 110/day across all areas
Stress/Stress Echo/DobSE/NucCard/Tilt: 14/day
TEE: 5-6/day
Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years
Echo tech: Minimum 2 years
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
Heart Failure and Cardiac Diagnostics, advanced – TTE, TEE, Stress Echo, Dobutamine Stress Echo studies
Chemotherapy Evaluations
Renal Transplant Evaluations
Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
PALS (preferred)
ACLS (preferred)
ACLS (preferred)
Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Tech): BLS; RDCS (ARDMS) OR RCS or Client (Advanced Cardiac Sonographer through CCI)
Skills required:
Echo tech: 2D, doppler, color flow, 3D, strain, contrast studies. Preferred: Stress echo skills and interventional procedures. IV management training is preferred.
RN: TEEs, stress testing, EKG interpretation, IV management, cardioversion, mild sedation experience, infusion
EP: EKG interpretation, stress testing, till table testing preferred
Support within the Department:
Dedicated Cardiac Ultrasound Educator and Chief Sonographer
19 Echo's (including satellites)
5 RNs
2 Eps
