Travel Echo Tech - $2,365 to $2,565 per week in Hyannis, MA

Join our team as an Echo Ultrasound Tech / Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Technologist and use your expertise to operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, compassionately prepare patients for echocardiogram procedures, and produce detailed images of the heart for interpretation by healthcare teams.

Minimum Requirements:

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from ARDMS, or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
• 1-2 years previous experience in echocardiography required. (Client requires 1-2 years in echo.)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Ability to perform 2-D, M-Mode, Pulse/Continuous Wave and Color Doppler imaging and obtain diagnostic-quality echocardiograms.
• Capable of writing preliminary interpretations and performing emergency studies as required.
• Experience with echo lab record keeping, equipment maintenance, and accreditation protocols (ICAEL familiarity preferred).
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of cardiologists and following established technical standards, provide echocardiography ultrasound images of the heart and related structures of adult and geriatric patients for cardiologist interpretation. Perform patient history intake, patient positioning, and select ultrasonic techniques to acquire diagnostic-quality studies. Assist physicians with special ultrasound procedures and transesophageal echocardiography in outpatient settings as needed. Maintain echo lab records, participate in quality assurance activities and accreditation requirements, and ensure equipment and rooms are cleaned and restocked.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with ICAEL accreditation processes and participation in QA meetings and quarterly reporting.
• Experience as physician liaison for digital reporting systems.
• Additional cardiac ultrasound certifications or advanced training.
