Job Title: Echo Tech Cardiac Sonographer Pediatrics Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Echo Tech Cardiac Sonographer Pediatrics Duration: 7 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of pediatric echo experience required License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT Must-Have: Pediatric experience is required. Description: Position specialty is Echo Tech with a focus on pediatrics. Candidates must have experience using extensive pediatric protocols for anatomical views. Experience should include Subxiphoid, Parasternal, Suprasternal, Right Parasternal, and Apical views. A minimum of one year of full-time pediatric echocardiograms is required, averaging 20 echoes per week. Alternatively, candidates can qualify with 4-5 years of part-time experience averaging 4-5 echoes per week. A total of around one thousand echoes are needed to effectively encounter congenital abnormalities. Work schedule is Monday through Thursday, from 07:00 to 17:30. Candidates may be required to be on-call during nights. Floating to other units within the facility may be necessary based on skills and census. Two professional references will be verified prior to start. All employees are expected to adhere to quality and patient safety standards established by the facility. Candidates must possess preferred skills including experience with electrophysiology, structural heart, and imaging technologies. This role involves working with both adults and geriatric patients in a supportive multidisciplinary environment. Candidates must be comfortable with a varied patient load and number of visits per day.
