Job Title: Echo Technologist Profession: ECHO Tech Reg UP Specialty: ECHO Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 3 years Echo Tech experience License: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CCI) Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) Must-Have: Positive attitude and proven willingness to assess and improve work environment Description: The Echo Technologist oversees technical procedures, patient care, and workflows in the echocardiography laboratory. They perform a full range of cardiac diagnostic testing. The technologist assists physicians and sonographers in providing high-quality echocardiographic exams. They perform routine and complex echocardiographic sonography imaging procedures following departmental guidelines. The technologist demonstrates acceptable imaging quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and alignment. They review patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness. The technologist documents information accurately and completely. They cross-train in other divisions of cardiovascular services. The role requires the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks while coordinating patient flow.
