Job Title: ECHO Tech Reg UP Profession: ECHO Tech Specialty: ECHO Duration: 26 Weeks Shift: Day Monday-Friday Hours per Shift: 8 Hours Experience: 3 Years of Echo Tech Experience License: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CCI) Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) Must-Have: - EClientARDIOGRAPHIC SONOGRAPHY - CARDIAC DIAGNOSTIC TESTING - PATIENT CARE - IMAGING QUALITY STANDARDS - DATA ACCURACY AND COMPLETENESS Description: The Echo Technologist oversees technical procedures, patient care, and workflows in the echocardiography laboratory. They perform a full range of cardiac diagnostic testing. The Echo Technologist assists physicians and sonographers in providing high-quality echocardiographic exams. They perform routine and complex echocardiographic sonography imaging procedures following departmental guidelines. They demonstrate acceptable imaging quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and alignment. They review patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness. Accurate and complete documentation is required. Cross-training to other divisions of cardiovascular services is expected. A positive attitude and a proven willingness to assess and improve the work environment are essential. The ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks while coordinating patient flow is crucial.
