Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist for a Non-Invasive Cardiology unit, requiring 1+ years of echocardiography experience and RDCS or RCS certification.

• Non-Invasive Cardiology department setting
• 10-hour day shifts with a rotating day off
• 36 hours per week across 4 days
• Requires occasional weekend shifts and on-call coverage for nights and weekends
• On-call staff must be able to respond within 30 minutes
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography)
• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) certification required
• ARDMS or CCI registration required
• BLS certification from AHA required
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred
• License required if applicable
• Epic charting experience required

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams under physician direction to identify abnormalities for patient diagnosis
• Prepare exam rooms, obtain informed consent, and gather clinical history prior to exams
• Review patient history to select appropriate protocols and position patients for examination
• Evaluate completed tests for quality and completeness, ensuring quality images for physician review
• Document and communicate patient information accurately, coordinating with multidisciplinary care teams
• Monitor equipment reliability and safety, reporting issues and coordinating repairs as needed
• Manage supply inventory and maintain a clean, functional work environment
• Participate in quality initiatives related to patient satisfaction and care workflows
• Returning staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before becoming eligible for a travel assignment
