Job Title: Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Echo Tech Cardiac Sonographer Pediatrics Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Peds Cardiac Sonography experience required. License: Pending State License accepted. Certifications: ARDMS or CCI, BLS required. Must-Have: Must have Pediatric Cardiac Sonography experience. No locals within a 100-mile radius. COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with completion of exemption form signed by a provider. Description: The position requires an Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer specializing in Pediatrics. The role involves outpatient procedures and requires skills in crash cart, scrub, and aseptic technique. Experience with general cases, ortho, urology, endo/laparoscopic, thoracic, neuro, gynecology, plastics, podiatry, and ENT is preferred. There are three available rooms for procedures. The facility is a Level I Trauma, Teaching Children’s Hospital, with a total of 554 staffed beds. The facility follows Cerner for charting. Daily census includes approximately 30 patients, with around 8 visits per day. Compliance documents must be completed two Fridays prior to the start date. Requests for time off greater than 7 days will require approval. Travelers must ensure personal transportation and may be required to provide a written transportation plan if applicable. No weekend or on-call requirements. Must be able to support procedures on patients in ICU/ED settings. Interdisciplinary support is available through interpretation services and rapid response teams. Special procedures are carried out without the need for weekend coverage. The position provides an opportunity to work with diverse patient age groups, including neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatrics.
