Job Title: Echo Technologist Profession: Echo Tech Specialty: Cardiac Diagnostics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) Experience: 3 years previous healthcare experience License: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CCI) Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) Must-Have: - EClientARDIOGRAPHIC SONOGRAPHY - CARDIAC DIAGNOSTIC TESTING - PATIENT CARE - WORKFLOW MANAGEMENT - IMAGING QUALITY STANDARDS Description: The Echo Technologist oversees technical procedures, patient care, and workflows in the echocardiography laboratory. Performs a full range of cardiac diagnostic testing. Assists performing physicians and sonographers in providing high-quality echocardiographic exams. Performs routine and complex echocardiographic sonography imaging procedures following departmental guidelines. Demonstrates acceptable imaging quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and alignment. Reviews patient data for accuracy, quality, and completeness. Documents accurately and completely. Cross-trains to other divisions of cardiovascular services. Possesses a positive attitude and a proven willingness to assess and improve the work environment. Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks while coordinating patient flow.
