Job Title: Sonographer Profession: Sonographer Specialty: Echo Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of cardiovascular vascular sonographer experience required. - At least 1 travel contract completed required. - Skills Checklist specific to cardiovascular vascular sonographer required. License: - Active Iowa license required. Certifications: - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification required. - Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification required. - Certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required. - AHA/American Heart Association or ARC/American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Must-Have: - Solid echo technician skills required. - Epic experience required. - Professional reference from a charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO performance evaluation within the last 24 months preferred. Description: As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler contributes professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients. The traveler may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses. The position requires conducting 7-8 scans per day. Candidates should have a solid echo skill set but do not need a full cardiovascular skill set. The role includes being on call for 1-2 nights and 1-2 weekends per month, depending on staffing needs. The traveler will be required to work 1-2 of the following summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, or Labor Day. Professional references and an active license at the time of submission are essential.
