About Facility:
Northern Light Pediatric Specialty Care (Outpatient Clinic) located in the Weber building attached to the hospital
Address: 417 State St. Webber East Suite 305
Traveler will work between Clinic and EMMC
General Information:
Imaging Rooms: 15 outpatient rooms typically only 1 is utilized for Pediatric Cardiology, portables for inpatient scans
Minimum experience required: 2+ years minimum of independent practice; 3 years preferred; Pediatric experience REQUIRED
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
Patient Types:
Neonates/newborn, pediatric and adults with congenital heart disease. We serve premature babies through patients in their 60 s.
Patients Seen per Day:
Outpatient 6; Inpatient 2, on average per day
Required Certifications:
BLS (required)
ARDMS: Adult (AE) registry with pediatric experience. Pediatric (PE) registry preferred
Skills required:
Pediatric experience
Experience with the above patient types
Strong assessment skills - ability to recognize fatigue and change in patient and know when breaks are needed from scanning
Support on the Unit:
Patient Service Rep for check-ins
2 RN s in Outpatient Clinic
5 MA s in Outpatient Clinic
2 additional sonographers within department
Physician support 3 cardiologists
If on call, Cardiologist would call sonographer in/let them know when scan is needed (tomorrow morning, within the week, etc)
Clinical Informaticist to assist with PACS/CERNER and other IT related concerns
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: Cerner
Equipment: Phillips
Floating:
Will float between Inpatient and Outpatient care areas
Orientation:
Mon HR orientation/healthstream modules/promise point modules to be completed within 1st week
1-2 weeks of orientation, based on experience/comfort level
Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: every 3rd weekend, more available if desired
Call:
Details will be discussed during interview
Call shift will start after last clinic patient of the day and go to approximately 7am
1-2 nights per week
Weekend call is Friday morning to Monday morning
OT available
Holiday Expectations: Call only (practice is closed 6 days per year)
Approval of time off: Manager Approval
Shift times: 4 (9 s) per week weekday off will rotate each week
Schedule cycle: typically, 12 weeks schedule; subject to change

Scrub Color: Any solid color, must be professional. Scrubs can be provided if needed.
