Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 5+ years of experience for an evening shift assignment requiring RDCS or CCI RCS certification.

Details

• Work in adult acute care, adult outpatient, emergency department, and ICU settings
• Evening shift, 5x8 hours, Sunday through Thursday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
• No call requirements
• May float within facility scope of practice and to other Piedmont Atlanta locations as needed
• Uses Philips and Siemens echo equipment

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience required (hard requirement, no first-time travelers accepted)
• BLS certification required
• RDCS or CCI RCS certification required
• ARRT-Sonography and GA license preferred
• License required if applicable
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Proficiency in Adult Echo, 3-D Echo, Bubble Study, Imaging with Contrast Agents, M-Mode, Portable Studies, RVIT, and RVOT required
• Experience with Pharmacologic Stress Echo, TEE, and Treadmill Stress Echo preferred
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Perform echocardiogram studies including TAVR, MitraClip, MVR, TVR, and ASD closure evaluations
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
• If one or two major holidays fall during the assignment, coverage of all such holidays is expected
• If three major holidays fall during the assignment, coverage of two of the three is expected
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Returning employees or travelers must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before reapplying as a traveler
• Shift and contract length are firm with no alternate schedule requests permitted
