Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a qualified Ultrasonographer Echo in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The position involves performing comprehensive echocardiography studies, including stress, TTE, TEE, and Dobutamine Stress Echo, in a fast-paced, patient and family-focused academic medical center environment. The role supports a high volume of studies daily, contributing to cardiac diagnostics and patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Evenings, 8 hours Shift, minimum 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Two or more years of experience as an Echo Technologist, valid Cardiovascular Sonographer (RDCS or RCS or ACS) certification through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreting (CCI), BLS certification, and valid license and certification as specified.
- Preferred Qualifications: PALS certification, stress echo skills, interventional procedures, and IV management training are preferred.
- Clinical Responsibilities: Performing 2D, doppler, color flow, 3D, strain, and contrast echocardiography studies. Skills in stress echo and interventional procedures are valued.
- Department Support: Dedicated cardiac ultrasound educator and chief sonographer, with a team of 19 Echo specialists and five registered nurses.
- Technology/Equipment: Philips and GE echocardiography systems, GE stress lab, EPIC - Encompass electronic medical record system, and other department-specific equipment.
- Orientation: Two days departmental orientation.
- Additional Notes: Scrub color attire includes Barney Purple tops, black pants or skirts, and purple or black warm-up jackets. Parking is assigned and free. The department has a patient and family-centered culture within a high-quality, academic, and fast-paced environment.
