Required Skills
- ARDMS/CCI registered or registry-eligible with comparable national accreditation
- Valid State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Manual dexterity essential for performing precise echocardiograms
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with pediatric echocardiography
- Knowledge of advanced echocardiographic techniques
- Prior experience in hospital or cardiac imaging settings
- Ability to assist with other cardiac procedures as needed
Preferred Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of hands-on experience performing echocardiograms
- Completion of a two-year allied health program (diagnostic medical sonographer, radiologic technologist, respiratory therapist, occupational or physical therapist, or registered nurse) is highly preferred
Other Requirements
- Willingness to participate in on-call coverage for emergency echocardiogram procedures
- Commitment to maintaining equipment quality and participating in departmental performance improvement activities
- Able to provide or obtain travel reimbursements, licensure, certification, and related expenses when applicable
