Schedule

Rotating days with weekend shifts and overnight call from 5:30 PM to 6:30 AM, 2-3 nights per month. Total: 40 hours per week.

Job Description

Join a busy inpatient echocardiography lab at a tertiary care hospital with a level I trauma center. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform 7-8 echocardiograms daily, including transthoracic echocardiograms (TTEs), stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs).
• Optimize image quality through meticulous scanning techniques and effective use of ultrasound contrast agents.
• Ensure compliance with lab standards and protocols to maintain consistency and diagnostic accuracy.
• Manage high-volume workflows in a critical care environment while maintaining superior diagnostic quality.
• Communicate effectively with patients to ensure comfort and understanding throughout procedures.
• Participate in case reviews and educational opportunities with colleagues to foster teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Adhere to ASE and IAC standards for compliance with industry best practices and quality benchmarks.

Required Experience / Certifications

• Minimum of 5 years of echocardiography experience.
• At least 2 years of acute inpatient echo experience in a Trauma Level I facility.
• Proficiency in a wide range of echocardiographic procedures.
• In-depth knowledge of complex cardiac anatomy and pathology.
• Strong time management skills.
