Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN ECMO Specialist requiring NE or compact RN license, Cardiohelp experience, and 2+ years of ECMO specialty experience.

Details

• Pediatric hospital setting serving as an ECMO Pump Specialist
• Manages patients on VA ECMO or VV ECMO for cardiac or non-cardiac reasons
• When no ECMO patients are present, works as a bedside ICU nurse for cardiac, non-cardiac, or NICU patients based on unit need
• Floats to NICU, PICU, and CVPICU as needed
• 1:2 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Epic charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active NE or compact RN license required
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Cardiohelp experience required
• Experience managing both VA and VV ECMO patients required
• Teaching hospital, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred

Additional Information

• Serves as pump specialist managing ECMO therapy for pediatric patients with cardiac or non-cardiac conditions
• Provides bedside ICU care across multiple units when not managing ECMO patients
• Must reside outside a 100 mile radius of the facility to be eligible as a traveler
• Former permanent employees of the facility are not eligible for this travel position
