Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment caring for ED boarder patients, requiring ACLS, BLS, and at least one prior travel assignment.

Details

• MS/Tele unit caring for boarder patients in the ED or ASU area
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Floating to MS/Tele units as needed
• No weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements
• Cerner charting experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (MD state license or compact license required)
• Current ACLS and BLS certification required; NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience within the last 7 years required
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
• Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Flu vaccine required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care for boarder patients being held in the ED or ASU area
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower pay rate
• Candidates must reside within 60 miles for local rate consideration
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed per 13-week contract
• Previous MedStar employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
