Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position caring for ED boarder patients, requiring at least 2 years of recent experience and prior travel assignment experience.

Details

• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Care for ED boarder patients in the ED or ASU area
• Float to Med/Surg Tele units as needed
• No weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or MD) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years required
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
• Med/Surg Tele skills required
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment, supporting at least 2 years of experience within the previous 3 years

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to boarder patients awaiting inpatient placement in the ED or ASU setting
• Flu vaccine required for all employees
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment; maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate
• Previous MedStar employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Manager interviews are not guaranteed
