Job Requirements

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Current ER specialty experience within the last 12 months required
• Epic charting experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Strong IV start skills and telemetry monitoring experience
• Experience caring for adult, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric emergency patients
• ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing education required
• Two professional references required, including one from a manager or director-level leader

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality emergency nursing care in a specialized oncology-focused ED pod
• Monitor and manage patients with complex emergency and oncology-related needs
• Perform IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and emergency interventions as needed
• Administer emergency medications and support blood product administration
• Care for ventilated patients and assist with BiPAP/CPAP management
• Interpret dysrhythmias and ABGs while supporting rapid clinical decision-making
• Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs and assist with triage and patient prioritization
• Maintain infection control, isolation precautions, and patient safety standards
• Collaborate closely with respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and other support teams
• Support a fast-paced emergency department environment while delivering compassionate care to a diverse patient population
