Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia or a Compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, MAB, and NRP as required by the unit
• Experience with Cerner preferred or required
• Ability to work in a high-acuity emergency department setting
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:2 on days and nights
• Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative healthcare team

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as indicated
• Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition in a fast-paced ER environment
• Support care for trauma, respiratory distress, neurological emergencies, and behavioral health needs
• Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and interdisciplinary support teams to promote safe patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in Cerner
• Follow infection control, safety, and patient privacy standards at all times
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while using strong clinical judgment
