Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours Per Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Rotation

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a 32-bed Emergency Department serving a birth-to-death patient population
  • Utilize critical care thinking and clinical skills to assess, plan, and implement care for emergency patients including stroke, STEMI, and trauma presentations
  • Maintain safe patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
  • Operate critical care equipment and document accurately using Cerner EHR
  • Rotate to other areas of the facility as needed based on competencies (helping hands float model)
  • Adhere to call requirements including push-back hours based on census needs

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Current PALS or ENPC certification
  • Current NIHSS certification
  • Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior experience in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
  • Experience managing stroke, STEMI, and trauma patients
  • Energetic, knowledgeable, and able to maintain stamina in a high-volume environment
  • Strong patient and family experience skills with a focus on communication and compassion
