Position Overview

Memorial Health is seeking an experienced Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced, 36-bed Emergency Department serving approximately 59,000 patients annually.

The ED RN will be responsible for rapid assessment, triage, intervention, stabilization, and ongoing evaluation of patients with a wide range of emergent and urgent conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive and focused patient assessments.
• Triage patients using evidence-based protocols and determine acuity levels.
• Provide rapid intervention and stabilization for medical, surgical, traumatic, psychiatric, and pediatric emergencies.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to hospital policies and provider orders.
• Monitor and operate equipment including cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, ventilators, and point-of-care testing devices.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, respiratory therapists, EMS personnel, and other healthcare professionals.
• Coordinate diagnostic testing, reassessment, disposition planning, and patient education.
• Participate in trauma activations, code blue, stroke, STEMI, and rapid response protocols as required.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record.
• Follow infection control, safety, and hospital standards.
• Provide patient-centered care in a high-volume emergency department.

Requirements

• Active Oklahoma RN license or Compact RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
• Previous Emergency Department, Critical Care, or other high-acuity nursing experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current PALS certification.
• Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Competency in trauma care, cardiac care, and stabilization of critically ill patients.

Preferred Certifications

• TNCC
• ENPC

This is a 13-week Travel ED RN contract with a night shift schedule of 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.
