Job Summary
Our Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurses (RNs) play a crucial role in providing care to patients experiencing emergencies, making their expertise essential during high-pressure situations. The ideal candidates will be equipped to handle a variety of emergency situations for patients of all ages, utilizing their training in trauma care to make quick and decisive decisions.
Responsibilities
Assess incoming patients with both physical and mental health conditions promptly.
Prioritize injuries and medical needs to formulate effective nursing care plans.
Deliver specialized and innovative nursing services in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum of 18 months of nursing experience in an emergency department environment.
ED experience within the past six months is mandatory.
Strong clinical knowledge and analytical abilities.
Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
Effective communication skills with diverse groups, including patients and families.

Education & Certifications
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) is required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
Basic Life Support (BLS - AHA), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications are required.
Completion of a 4-hour CEU contact for stroke is necessary.
Schedule Details
Night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM.
36 hours per week commitment required.
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
Holiday requirement: Two winter holidays and an evening or Black Friday shift.
May be required to float to a 12-bed satellite ED within the region.
