Job Title: EEG Tech Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: EEG Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years with experience in pediatric and NICU patients License: Valid WA or Compact RN license required Certifications: BLS, R.EEGT, EEG Certification/Registration Must-Have: - Experience with adult ICU, ambulatory EEG, ECI brain death, electrode placement, long-term monitoring/video monitoring, NICU, PICU, portable recording, sleep-deprived EEG, and sleep EEG. - Must have skills in trauma care and working with various patient age groups, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. - Required skills include conducting sleep-deprived EEGs, continuous long-term monitoring, and other specialized EEG studies. Description: The EEG Tech position involves providing diagnostic services for patients requiring EEG monitoring. The role requires floating between units to meet patient needs throughout the hospital. Weekend work is required, with two weekend days each pay period. The responsibilities include monitoring and supporting patients during EEG studies. The tech will assist in various procedures, including inpatient and outpatient EEG studies. Experience with specialized equipment is necessary. Candidates must be able to verify their certifications. Composition of the EEG tech team includes both inpatient and outpatient staff. Interdisciplinary support is provided to meet patient diagnoses and care requirements. The position may involve traveling to sister facilities nearby. Refusal to float may lead to termination of assignment.
