Job Title: EEG Technician Profession: Technologist Specialty: EEG Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, every other weekend and rotating holidays Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: One year of EEG experience License: Registered EEG Technologist Certifications: BLS/CPR certified Must-Have: Advanced computer skills, communication skills, and critical thinking skills Description: Will perform routine EEGs in accordance with established guidelines on patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric in outpatient and inpatient settings. Enters raw data and prepares data for physician review. Measures and applies electrodes for adult and pediatric patients. Conducts descriptive analysis of EEG waveforms and patterns observed. Engages in appropriate patient and family interactions. Handles editing of 24-hour data. Maintains equipment and stocks acquisition stations. Reports malfunctions and records in the equipment logbook. Follows existing policies and procedures. Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.
